When 15-year-old Christian Lunsford found out his father (Shane Lunsford, 39)

and an accomplice, Timothy Strunk, had robbed 78-year-old Tona Herndon or $700 while she was visiting the grave of her recently deceased husband of 60 yearshe decided to do what he could to set things right.

Shane Lunsford was caught while allegedly using Herndon’s credit cards at a local Wal-Mart. Timothy Strunk was captured later.

The Bethany, Oklahoma teen contacted the victim to apologize and return $250 his father had given him for a band trip the boy wanted to attend.
Christian told Mrs. Herndon, “He (his father the perp) gave me $250 for my band trip, but I’m not sure if it was yours or however he got it, but I’d feel bad if I didn’t give it to you,” he told Tona.”
Mrs Herndon accepted the proffered restitution but quickly returned the money to Christian saying, “I want you to take your band trip.”
