The Naked Boy & the Crocodile is proudly published by our Foundation and is a collection of thirteen of the best stories written by children aged 5-10 years, living in remote communities across Australia.

The book was a result of many workshops that our ambassador Andy Griffiths ran with kids from remote schools communities, from Warburton and Wyndham in WA to Wilcannia in the north-west of NSW. The Naked Boy And The Crocodile

During the workshops students were given small blank “books” and invited to write a story based on their own lives – using both picture and words. These stories could be true or fictional or a mixture of both. They could be dramatic, funny or simply about an activity they love.

The thirteen stories featured in this book highlight the wit and talent of these children. They tell tales of playing with friends, riding motorbikes, picking berries, hunting for emu eggs and wild pigs, terrifying turkeys and angry mamus.

The Naked Boy and the Crocodile has been distributed widely to remote communities across Australia as well as in regional and metropolitan schools across Australia. It is now available in bookshops across Australia.
